The Beginning.

I'm not certain when it was I first became interested in the military. I know that it was before I truly understood what it was all about, but I know not how far before. Truth be told, I cannot say I fully understand it now, but I believe I am informed enough to make my decision. I have always found war fascinating. It is universally considered the most terrifying display of mankind's greatest folly, and yet it goes steadfastly through time, consuming nearly every generation of man, since the era of recorded history. With each new generation comes a hope that the last had seen the end of war, but, alas, war returns. I have felt for some time now a desire to be a part of man kinds most enduring struggle. To experience what has been experienced by millions before me, and something that will prevail, with no conclusion in the near future. I, as a student of history, have seen that war is what builds our world. Everything that now is and ever was, has been the result of war.
